I finally got use for my Yahoo! account. A lot of conversations with a lot of people. My YM's active for the first time. I'm pretty much a late bloomer.
I'm happy and tired with what happened right now. Finally, some peace on PE. Although my right arm really hurt (that's really a lot) due to dancing rumba, we never got any class-wide hitch. Just a little restive soul who got caught because, well, arm are beginning to hurt. Most importantly, D, Kevin, Edgar and that other guy (his nickname isn't Edgar Allan - you're John, right?) got raves from Professor Ronda.
And Ale this time. Were the guys staring at her dancing? Go figure.

It seems that the person who said I had the charisma to be block president, well, had the charisma to be block president.
Meet President D (for Derek). That funny guy who's cracking a lot of jokes got a taste of being in my shoes in high school. (Well, not really.) I just found it funny that he got elected even if he didn't want to (same as my case, but I was expecting to win because it seemed so from LPEP orientation).
So he began to say things on the LR19 Yahoo! group. We must have had a taste of presidential shock.

We have already survived the first week of college, and most of the college freshmen are still sipping soda at the beach?
Anyway, today I feel so involved with school. I've been receiving a lot of things from a lot of people. Professor Sangil finally confirmed a load of LR19 students into the Art Appreciation Yahoo! group, and the block Yahoo! group is also alive as well. My initiative (posting my blog in the links page) led me to this one from Ale. (Be surprised - I was. Go figure.)
I might be playing Link the Blogs, but I'm not. I think I saw someone else's blog. I'm not posting I here yet because I'm not sure if it is really Isah's. (Maybe yes, maybe no. Those entries make me cry.)

This post was supposed to be called Professors due to my fascination with how they go about our academic lives. (Pretty vague.) But today I have a lot of things to talk about. Not just professors.
First, Kuya Arwin finally found me. Well, not the blog, but here's me wishing the members of the block Yahoo! group get to see my mind function at its best. So, if you guys feel unlucky he never found you... well, this is our secret hang-out place, not like Zen Chillout Place the girls at the concert kept on talking about. (As that suspected VJ Cesca said, "Zen Chillout Place Zen Chillout Place Zen Chillout Place Zen Chillout Place - naka-ilan na ba ako?")
I won't fail to believe we are the coolest block, because there's something about it. Obviously, the guys at LR17 would say the same. (Sorry for the example.)

Err... Ate Happy (I don't personally know her, but all I know - or think - was that she is a Campus Patroller for Magic 89.9) must have put forward the idea of confidence too much. Together with her co-host (was it MTV's VJ Cesca?) they hosted the first concert of DLSU's school year.
After a lot of mention of Rexona, since, well, they sponsored the whole thing, and eight people danced that first day funk dance (one guy who showed off a lot won an iPod), I finally got to watch Parokya ni Edgar perform. The amphitheater was full, and me, Dhi, Joy and a lot of other blockmates watched the concert. It began to rain a bit hard, however, at the end of the concert.
And I had seven photos of Chito. Dhi just can't stop screaming.

Blockmates have finally infiltrated the Upper Blog. Hello to blockmates Ira (blog one and blog two, natch) and Jackie (have I got your name correct?). I have blog buddies from college?
Cause for celebration? Maybe.
They were saying about us having at least one terror professor, and we just got that. Err, not. I can take Professor Ronda. We just had a very bad start because we went to the wrong classroom. Just when I had the hunch did he come in, shouting at us. But it turns out it's all okay. He's fun, although strict, and he can crack those jokes that don't seem like they're jokes. We're having dance, and yes, that charisma thing (I haven't told you about it, but you guys probably know) had made me president.

Aaah! No more titles!
Anyway, first day of school was pretty fun. Our professor at Critical Thinking dismissed us half an hour before dismissal. Our English professor was fun, our Religion professor had that flair (and to think she's from Ateneo), and our Art Appreciation professor is someone Robyn will surely like.
Today I also saw MJ and Gio. Mari's in dismay since his block hasn't got much girls in it. He was literally steaming in jealousy (okay, well not) thinking me and Gio have more girls in our block.

Tomorrow's the big day! Or is it big?
The enthusiasm, reflected both on the Friendster bulletin boards and on the real world, is pretty big for such a perfunctory event. Well, we all have to study sometime.
So tomorrow, I'll surely have to wake up at 04.30 and have to get full, cleaned, and alert enough not to have anything stolen by the time you arrive at school. And, yes, the complete change of routine. Lunch will vary from the normal time of 12.00 and swings from 11.10 to 14.10. That's bad for a person who loves to eat. Munch munch.

If you haven't visited for a long time, please take note of a longer entry before this one. That would help in your understanding of my twisted mind.
Anyway, this is the probably my final free weekend. No more fun lazy mornings sitting down doing nothing for me. Now I have to study and think of doing myself some service and fix up. I'll finally have that social improvement I've been craving for since way back when. Maybe I'll steal some sips at McDonalds with blockmates - but not before I find myself rushing for buses at rush hours. Tuesday's definitely not the right time to do that.
I am so distracted today. Somehow images of my blockmates appear before my mind. Is it a sign that deep inside of me I'm excited about college when I say I'm not? Maybe...

LPEP has just finished - all of the two days - and what I didn't expect was two people I have met in SBCA were my blockmates. And the culture shock is, well, larger than expected.
Isah is my clubmate back in first year. The only thing I probably remember of her is accusing (or teasing, if that applies) me of joining that certain club because her friend, my classmate, and the equivalent of flurry month in my freshman year (read: crush) was also there. That girl (her name's Regine) is said to be now in Norway, and I have failed to think of her.
The other guy's Huey. Well, we're never really that close, because we haven't talked much, or even been near each other. You must remember Charlie from Math-Tinik - that's him.

I just realized I only have one week before I begin my college classes. I've been receiving a lot of advice lately, from my parents to, well, my relatives. This is too much of a big event for me. And I don't feel like I took a vacation. It all feels like a class day off.
I am beginning to half hate it and half love it.
After taking my first bus ride and my first solo stroll around SM Southmall (I'm finally overwhelmed), I think I'll take a longer time to actually adjust to the system. It all seems new and different. A lot more people, a lot more stereotypes... actually, the stereotypes portrayed in the movies and in television are not helping. It's just making it worse.

I'm at Southmall again, fresh from my physical examinations back at DLSU. I commuted on the way - I was a bit nervous that a bomb might explode from under my seat (a product of extreme paranoia) but I am still here typing my entry.
The weridest thing that happened to me was that a police went up to me and asked if I stole anything. Obviously I didn't, but that kind of question wouldn't just work. WIll anyone admit on the spot if he or she had commited a crime? Well, I guess it was just a ploy so that someone can steal my phone and money. Better be careful next time...
Finally I'm excited about college. Robyn (I finally found her site, after nine weeks of blogging) told me we should stick together on the LPEP (that's college orientation), but that seems impossible because I presume we have separate sections. Different courses, as well. I'm becoming curious about the other people as well. How are they?

Welcome to further culture shock. Currently they're playing Jerk It Out in the wrongest setting. Funny.
More clues are cropping out that I'm changing things once again. I'm gonna go to DLSU all alone on Tuesday, because, well, I have to train myself. I'll be taking my check-ups and ID pictures, then I'll go back on the Thursday before classes for a ten-hou orientation - then on the next day, in complete necktie attire, for the dean and vice dean of the university's College of Liberal Arts to meet us. (The Lassalian Ambassador who briefed us said everything will be checked. Sounds like my old school to me.)
And MJ (err, Mari once again) just made me another testimonial. This is pretty graphic (well, not):

"Welcome froshies!" the guys shouted. "Welcome to La Salle!"
I am officially a froshie. I have enrolled, and I've never felt awkward like before. Maybe it's because I came back too many times in the past three months.
No one has actually replied to anything I posted (could you please check back on the previous blogs? And where are the guys I sent a message? I couldn't rush them, maybe). It's the dry patch I'm scared of. I just can't scream.

Finally, I've told more people about my blog - but probably at the wrong time. Could the timing be more worse?
Maybe. I don't have more to say.
I promoted my blog through my trusty Friendster message mechanism to around five people, those who probably have a blog as well or are interested in reading one.

Yearbook work is eating on my vacation - but, on the plus side, I get to surf the Internet more frequently than I ever imagined. That means - yes, more Johnny Vaughan. hehe. I do look like a freak now.
I have a few things that I don't want to remember. (Go figure - again. They're positively good, and I don't want to pretend, but then again I already submitted my problem to Oneclick so that I can be ridiculously famous to those up in Britain at dusk.) Now I'm working with old photos and I'm battered by those things, but when I click on Actual Size I can't help but think.
We were good friends - and we are still now - but it's me whose separating - but that's not the right word - rather, I'm making too much of a big deal on this.

Three weeks to go before classes begin! I now have to rush and enjoy my vacation before I actually have to break down in another environment.
I have nothing to write again. That is certainly a cause of excessive boredom. This summer must be the most boring ever - and it is aggravated by the stifling heat. Last time I heard it's at around thirty-six degrees outside. Hottest this season, they said. Swimming didn't help, either.
The adventurous Harry Torres (I haven't gotten my name out of my system yet) is on another journey - this time, to get a celebrity to post a comment here. Reading about Bianca Gonzalez on the newspaper last Sunday, and reading that she replies to comments on her blog - well, it got my hopes high. It doesn't help that I have pretty bad coping skills. Just have to click on Comments now...
