Room for corn pie

See? It's always been a thing!

I've had my current job title for roughly five years now, and it still amazes me when I realize I tend to have meetings in the same room as some really high-ranking, prominent and much-respected people.

A sheet of plastic

Thursday morning.

I can't drive to my meeting, because my vehicle's plate number ends with a 7, so I end up waiting for a Grab.

For some reason, someone who was at the Mall of Asia area at that moment accepted my request. Consider that I'm coming from Mandaluyong, and my meeting is in Makati. That's an awfully long distance, and a pretty long wait, too, considering he's supposed to arrive in half an hour. But it's just half past eight, and my meeting is at ten. It's not a big deal, really.

Out-of-body experience

This... was taken at the Ari BTS station. Close enough, yeah?

I am writing this post from one of the many deluxe rooms at the Shangri-la Bangkok. At 36 square meters, it's just slightly smaller than the flat I live in, but it has a massive window overlooking the Chao Phraya river. It has a pretty nice bathroom with a shower stall and a bathtub. It has all the trimmings that you'd expect from a five-star hotel, and perhaps have taken for granted. I know I have, as someone who stays at the EDSA Shangri-la every year, but even then those deluxe rooms, while just as lush, aren't this big. And also, there's no separate bathtub.
